This role is responsible for providing leadership to team members and the Memphis Logistics Center in support of achieving the goals and objectives of the MLC and achievement of operating company service level agreements. The Logistics Coordinator performs tasks in accordance with defined standard operating procedures supporting Pfizers Fulfillment Operations for all assigned pharmaceuticals, including generic and philanthropy pharmaceuticals. The individual leads people, time, projects, metrics and distribution tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, while focusing on safety, quality, environmental compliance, and the operational calendar.

Day-to-Day Operations Activities: Completed in accordance with defined processes, policies and legal compliance activities, i.e., SOX.

+ Balance operational priorities across end to end process; labor share

+ Provide leadership to team members and the Memphis Logistics Center in support of achieving goals and objectives of the MLC and achievement of operating company service level agreements

+ Support housekeeping, safety, and quality targets

+ Monitor workflow and volume

+ Update Visual Management Board Daily (Metrics).

+ Partner with Customer Service, Transportation, Receiving, etc., to drive results.

+ Communicate timely and effectively with business partners.

Process Improvement and Projects: activities to include:

+ Support Manager/Lead with customer disputes with robust root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action plan (Method 1).

+ Proactively assess performance of assigned area, identify failures and root causes and make improvements.

+ Participate in and lead programs to ensure efficient and cost effective operation and utilization of the facility.

+ Lead and/or participate in departmental/divisional projects as assigned. Regularly communicate in all directions to keep associates, peers, and Management informed of project status, process changes, and opportunities.

Ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance.

+ Comply with all governing regulations (e.g. 21 CFR, EH&S, cGMP, good housekeeping practices and good documentation practices).

+ Support investigations and implement actions associated with Quality System findings, i.e., Quality Assurance Reports (QARs), Event Reports (ERs), Commitments, etc.

+ Identify EH&S opportunities and implement safety solutions in conjunction with Safety Engineer.


Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position (where legally permissible).

High school diploma or equivalent,(Associate Degree Preferred), personal computer skills, and a minimum of three years experience in general warehousing or manufacturing to include order assembly, shipping/receiving, stocking, inventory maintenance, and picking/verification functions .

+ Excellent knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (e.g. SAP, Manhattan Labor Management System, etc.)

+ Demonstrated PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Office)

+ Knowledge of Process Excellence (e.g. lean warehousing, 6 sigma, etc.)

+ Knowledge of SOX requirements

+ Qualified candidates should be able to operate and/or be trained and certified to operate a forklift or other equipment as needed.


Note the physical conditions in which work may be performed; examples: lifting, sitting, standing, walking, ability to travel, drive, unusual attendance requirements, weekend work or travel requirements, etc.

Normal Indoor/Mfg/Main/Production Warehouse. Long hours spent standing and walking on concrete on the Warehouse floor or sitting are required. Sometimes additional hours are required as the business levels dictate. These may include evenings and weekends on occasion. Some lifting of packages of up to 40 lbs may be required.
