The Logistics/Warehouse Professional is a critical position within the McPherson warehouse team. The Logistics/Warehouse Professional will drive projects that deliver improvements in safety, quality/compliance, cost, and efficiency within the warehouses and across the site. The professional will need to stay abreast of emerging logistics technologies and evaluate their applicability within the operation. The professional will also play a key role in the development and implementation of a warehouse master plan and help to ensure the warehouse master plan is aligned with the overarching site master plan.


+ Support the development and implementation of the warehouse master plan

+ Ensure all projects and activities occurring within the warehouse are compliant with GMP, PQS and SOP requirements (e.g. change control, safe work practices, barricading and dust walls, contractor access, etc...)

+ Manage small warehouse projects (serve as project manager)

+ Serve as customer representative on larger warehouse projects

+ Represent the warehouse/logistics on product launch teams

+ Assess and monitor warehouse space utilization and capacity

+ Support customer and regulatory audits as needed

+ Ensure temperature monitoring and mapping of all warehouse space

+ Manage warehouse access and security ensuring only those that require access receive it

+ Assist Warehouse Supervisors with incident investigations and corrective action identification and implementation

+ Participate on the warehouse safety team

+ Stay abreast of emerging logistics technologies and evaluate applications within the McPherson warehouses


+ Bachelors degree in engineering or other related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience or Masters degree with 3 years of experience

+ Pharmaceutical experience highly desired

+ A minimum of 3 years warehousing/logistics experience

+ Microsoft Office knowledge especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint

+ Experience participating in audits and interacting with regulatory agencies desired

+ APICS certification desired

+ Effective written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
