Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed freestanding behavioral health hospital offering psychiatric care for adults and adolescents. We are currently seeking Full-Time and Per-Diem LPNs. JOB DESCRIPTION: The LPN administers nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: Assists in the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide rage of psychiatric conditions. Provides continuous nursing care for patients utilizing the nursing process within the scope of practice. Functions as a medication nurse. Assists the RN to organize and deliver patient care. Documents patient activity and behavior in an accurate, timely and legible manner. Ensures Patients Rights and Confidentiality. Demonstrates qualities that advance high standards of care. Promotes safety by participates in hospital-wide training initiatives. Demonstrates required attendance and reliability. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Promotes safety by attending mandatory inservices and complies with all safety measures initiated by the facility. Job Requirements
