We are a Partial Hospitalization treatment center offering a comprehensive, integrated program that addresses the needs of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. FRN is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, to work with Patients in supporting them through their treatment.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively balance the needs of the facility, patients and staff.  We believe in patient-centered care, which extends beyond our clinical staff, to every department in every facility. This position will be located at Foundations Recovery Networks facility, Talbott Recovery Campus near the Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Completes medical screening and/or assessment of new clients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures.

Monitors medication process for all patients including preparation of medication delivered to Resident Assistants, supervising self-administration process.

Prepares Medication Administration Record (MAR).

Provides on-going consumer education (group and individual) regarding medications.

Meets quality expectations of accuracy, completeness, and is responsive to feedback.

Meets quantity expectations of volume consistent with peers and relative to time in position.

Meets timeliness expectations of completing work as scheduled, demonstrating self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed.

Responds to emergencies of patient, staff and visitors.

Signs off on MD's orders (to Medical Records at least 2x/d)

Assist with transfers to Anchor and other facilities.Assures that patient transfer from/to Anchor includes necessary records and medication.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of and adhere to medication policies and procedures.

Labels patient approved medications: ( a) Demonstrates knowledge of allowable medications Rx and non-Rx. (b) Stores and accounts for all medications kept in nurse's offices. (c) Maintains appropriate inventory logs of patient medications.

Properly disposes of medicines not returned to patient and documents per policy.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to inspire client confidence in the TRC Staff and the TRC Model of Treatment.
Ability to consistently demonstrate through conduct and communications the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the TRCModel of Treatment.

Demonstrates a broad base of knowledge in psychiatric and addiction treatment and administration.

Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups.

Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Must have general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.

Education and Experience

High School Degree or GED required.

Unencumbered LPN license to practice in state of Georgia.

Minimum 3 years of experience working psychology is preferred.
