Foundations For Living is an 84 bed (14 males and 70 females) secure residential treatment facility for youth addressing mental health and substance abuse issues. Located on the edge of Mansfield, Ohio, in a 14 rolling, wooded acres rural setting, Foundations For Living has easy access to I-71. Foundations For Living is licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (ODMHAS) and CARF accredited. Foundations For Living offers individual, group, and family counseling to our residents. Our mission is to provide an environment of safety where youth feel empowered to heal the wounds of the past and build a foundation of hope for the future.


This position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM. Also, serves as on-call maintenance in rotation and as directed. Primary job responsibilities include but limited to: Assists in checking and reading all gauges, thermometers, water glass gauges on boilers and thermometers in coolers and freezers daily. Assists in maintaining weather protection of plant for cold, floods, and fire protection. Assists in repairing emergency breakdowns in shortest possible time. Assists in maintaining facility vehicles in safe operating conditions. Assists in maintaining inventory of mechanical parts of minimum sufficient for every day operation of adequate maintenance program.  Acts as supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Director as assigned. Documents the preventative maintenance program. Documents progress/completion of work orders on daily basis. Polices the parking lots and grounds. Follows safe working practices as outlined by OSHA, facility policy and other regulatory requirements. Ensures a safe environment for our residents by maintaining physical inventory of all items used on a work order, both at the start of the job and at the end.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Some experience in the general maintenance field
