Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Engineer the Maintenance Technician maintains repairs and troubleshoots business operations objects including and not limited to production and processing machinery, process support equipment, electrical systems, etc. ensuring their validated state at all times.

+ Objects to be maintained correspond to Drug Substance Vaccines Conjugation Business Unit and associated areas (Suites 1, 2, 4 & 5) In the Manufacturing Suites building at the Grange Castle facility.

+ Supports the Equipment Maintenance Engineers and Reliability Engineers on the implementation of improvement projects.

+ Ensures regulatory compliance with applicable Standard Procedures, Policies and / or Regulations.

+ Demonstrates and Own it mentality and Supports the site safety program.


The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Provide troubleshooting support on equipment, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and CPU based systems

+ Performs scheduled preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities to plant machinery, equipment, and other systems to increase machine up time.

+ Documents preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per applicable procedures and provides recommendations on how to improve them.

+ Provide overall daily production support

+ Provides support to capital projects as required

+ Participate in equipment failure investigations to determine root causes and provides ideas for improvement.

+ Executes continuous improvement projects as required.



+ Associate/Technical Degree in Industrial Mechanic, Electronic, Electrical field, or |Time served apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical or cross discipline.


+ Experience in one of the following areas is desirable:

+ Ultra filtration systems

+ Refrigeration/lyophilisation systems

+ Autoclaves and or washer dryers

+ CIP SIP systems

+ Temperature control modules.

Experience troubleshooting automated systems

+ Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

Other Requirements:

+ Technical Skills

+ Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and CPU based systems troubleshooting

+ Journeyman level ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials

+ Willingness to learn and adopt reliability concepts and technologies

+ Laminar Air Hoods

+ Mobile vessels

+ Fixed vessels

+ Weighing Scales


+ Clean rooms Grade C&D

+ GMP and non-GMP corridors

+ Utility chases and mechanical spaces.

+ Any other plant modules/common areas as needed


+ Supports the Site IIF Culture.

+ Supports the Company's Environmental Program following established policies, and procedures,

+ Will be trained in the applicable Safety Environmental Procedures and regulations that apply to specific job functions.
