Cedar Creek Hospital is an acute care psychiatric treatment facility located in St. John's Michigan just 30 minutes north of Lansing.  This new facility is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2017 and will serve both adults and adolescent populations in both inpatient and partial hospitalization settings. 

 

Cedar Creek Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals.  The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the Patient Accounting, Business Office, and Collections functions of the hospital.  Essential job functions include the following: 

1. Coordinates and manages the Patient Accounting, Business Office and Collections functions.

2. Contact third party insurers and/or guarantors or patient accounts in order to collect accounts receivable in a timely and effective manner.

3. Manages the department in a cost effective manner.

4. Supervises the submission of claims to third party payers and performs follow-up activity on outstanding claims.

5.  Manages employees within the department to promote staff morale and productivity.

Minimum Skills, Experience, Licensure, & Educational Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field recommended.

  2. Previous supervisory experience in a hospital or medical office environment.

  3. Knowledge and previous experience in third party billing and collections.

  4. Must exhibit abilities to handle stress and display effective communication actions with departmental personnel, medical staff, intake, administration and the general public.
