EMPLOYER: Pfizer Inc.

TITLE: Manager, Advanced Analytics/Data Science

RATE OF PAY: $125,000/year


DUTIES: Leverage data science/statistical analysis to add value to Big Data assets. Model structured and unstructured data. Support the flawless delivery of existing advanced analytics. Ensure current marketing mix, price elasticity & assortment results are analytically sound. Work with Insights teams and vendors to trouble-shoot and resolve issues/questions with deliverables. Collaborate to enhance current models/approaches. Expand the usage of existing analytics. Leverage existing IP (intellectual property) to drive additional usage (i.e.: price coefficients to support promotion planning, finance, etc.). Export coefficients from marketing mix/price models to develop/support/test/validate predictive analytics. Test and validate new analytic models/approaches. Find connections/insights/new approaches. Connection between copy test/tracking/social media/in-market results, etc. Optimize programmatic buying of media via attribution modeling. Leverage the unstructured data in our 'DMP' (Data Management Platform) to gain insight around our consumers. Find/implement/support better ways to visualize results. Assist in developing new means of communicating the results of modeling exercises through intuitive data visualizations, story boards and/or other infographics. Design new visualizations to make descriptive analyses intuitive and more informative.

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, Market Research or related field.

Experience Requirement: 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Alternate Education/Experience Requirements: In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, Market Research or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.

Special Skills Requirements: 1) Advanced Analytics/Data Science experience in quantitative methodologies and analytic/research techniques leveraging data such as retailer scanner & household panel, econometric modeling, and price elasticity; 2) Statistical modeling techniques, including regression, logistic and time-series models, principle components and clustering analysis; 3) Experience with data management and statistical modeling; 4) Experience with SAS, R, Python, JAVA programming; 5) Big Data analytics skills including use of unstructured datasets, syndicated, financial, advertiser and marketing datasets; 6) End-to-end modeling experience including issue identification and scope, solution outline and specifications including timing, data identification, gathering and preparation, code creation and execution, assimilation and delivery of results.
