As a Manager of Analytic Solutions, you will guide your team to identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies. You will perform critical research and investigation of key business problems in the way of commercial group post pay analytics.  You will lead a team responsible for data mining, data integrity, and writing rules-based analytics to identify overpayments based on contractual and/or Coordination of Benefits (COB) outliers. You must possess an intellectual curiosity and a passion for solving problems with an eye for optimization and efficiency.   You will need to be highly organized and able to strike a good balance between technology and business needs.  Your analyses will create viable, real-world solutions within the complex health care landscape. If you are located in the central or eastern time zone, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage an elite team of data mining and data integrity professionals

  • Develop and improve quantitative data analytics and set performance targets and forecasts

  • Develop analytical solutions that are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet the expectations of the business

  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations that significantly affect the analytics, processes, or execution of data mining workflows

  • Interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources and recommend best approaches

  • Lead complex projects to provide updates and to draw results and conclusions

  • Develop polished, high-impact persuasive reports and presentations that enable strategic decision-making supporting the project’s mission

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, quantitatively-focused social sciences, or other quantitative fields

  • 4+ years of experience performing analysis on healthcare claims and/or identifying overpayments

  • 2+ years of experience working with large and varying data sets, ing qualitative and quantitative analysis to interpret the data

  • 1+ years of staff management experience

  • Intermediate proficiency in programming languages and experience developing automated solutions and applications (.NET, C# or the like) 

  • Intermediate proficiency working with Relational Database (MS SQL)

  • Understanding and experience of software development best practices

  • Foundational proficiency in other statistical programs such as Python or R, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Experience working with “Big Data”
