Description The Manager of Business Analytics will play a key role in developing metrics and analytics related to clinical trial assumptions and other operational drivers that will provide senior leadership with insights to support effective decision making and budget management in Pfizer's R&D portfolio. He or she will be responsible for ensuring accurate data inputs into repositories used for analytics, supporting development of executive presentation materials and building models that effectively convey how business decisions impact inputs into clinical trial that drive efficiencies. Successful candidate will have the experience and skill set to understand all of the related data, how it is derived and how it is interconnected to other parts of the business. He or she will also support other team members in ad hoc project and analyses.



**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Support development, maintenance and analysis of clinical trial metrics to increase accuracy in assumptions in planning

+ Maintain accurate database of clinical trial operational drivers and relevant cost data to be used by key stakeholders in related analysis and reporting

+ Continuous improvement and enhancement of database to ensure it is positioned appropriately to support the business questions

+ Conduct analysis of data to identify trends and areas of opportunity, including integration with other sources

+ Produce periodic business performance reports for senior leadership

+ Support key stakeholders within Business Operations, Sourcing and Vendor Management on ad hoc projects

+ Navigate across functional lines, progress deliverables when there is ambiguity, anticipate business needs and demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing business.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Bachelor's, Master's or MBA in a scientific, business or management is preferred with at least 5 years experience in R&D or Analytics with ability to translate complex business questions and requirements and develop effective solutions

+ Demonstrates sound Business Judgment and Acumen

+ Experienced in metrics and analytics

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Able to work and collaborate effectively as a trusted partner with all levels of the organization

+ Detailed oriented, ensuring quality data and inputs

+ Demonstrated expertise in the manipulation of data sets, integration of data across multiple sources and data structuring to facilitate analyses.

+ Candidate should have advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills, and preferred experience in at least one data visualization tool and one data extraction tool (ex. Spotfire, Tableau, Business Objects, Pipeline Pilot, OBIEE).



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**



+ 5+ years within the Pharmaceutical Industry is a plus

+ Understanding of SAP/BI and Microsoft Excel manipulation is highly preferred

+ Knowledge of clinical trial processes, data, related costs and supporting systems and tools.
