Manager, Business Process/Sales Incentive Compensation – Minnetonka, MN

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and develop sales incentive programs that support UnitedHealthcare and client group objectives of attracting, retaining and motivating key talent with programs that are competitive and responsive to external influences and internal objectives.
  • Develop sales incentive plans and contests
  • Evaluate impacts of organization or market changes on current incentive plans and make changes as necessary
  • Collaborate with Senior Sales Management, Human Capital Partners, and Compensation professionals
  • Communicate incentive plans to Senior Management and staff and answer questions
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop innovative solutions to meet them
  • Assist with Compensation administration process improvement projects
  • Document processes and decisions
  • Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Lead functional or segment teams or projects
  • Strategic thinking about how changes will impact multiple stakeholders
  • Develop and produce analytics to assist Sr. Leadership in decision making
  • Work closely with legal and compliance partners to ensure recommendations align with federal and state regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years of experience in sales incentives and/or compensation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrix environment
  • Experience consulting with management and Human Capital
  • Experience turning concepts into projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant sales incentive design experience
  • Experience working in a large organization
  • Familiarity with Access, Excel and SQL
  • Master's degree   
Required to demonstrate: Real life examples of solving a sales rep motivation issue related to sales incentive: We wish to review work samples from your previous service in designing and implementing sales incentive programs in advance of our first telephone interview.  Please be prepared to include actual samples of at least two projects including your personal contribution from inception and design through implementation and business results. Visualizations and narratives should be limited to sales incentive work. We do not wish to receive any confidential information.
