Manages a team of pharmacy account managers who act as outward facing, dedicated resource for large and complex accounts.  The team of Pharmacy Account Manager this individual will manage, has accountability to build relationships with employer / group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day - to - day service delivery.  The team also represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. As a manager of this team, the position will be responsible for ensuring the team regularly meets these expectations that are vital client retention. 

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages and is accountable for professional employees and / or supervisors
  • Impact of work is most often at the local level
  • Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team
  • May oversee work activities of other supervisors
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple groups of employees and / or customers (internal or external)
  • Leads approximately 8 pharmacy account managers
  • Responsible for the overall book of business comprised of over 1.5 Million lives

  • Accountable for the clients' overall service experience and operational support

  • Measured on client retention, NPS and service support for upsells

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ Experience managing people
  • 3+ years Account Management experience
  • 3+ years PBM or healthcare related experience
