The Global Communications team directs internal employee and external communications efforts to ensure the company's messages are aligned and delivered in accordance with Prudential’s goals and policies. To best partner with Prudential’s corporate functions, we are expanding our Global Corporate Communications team and looking for professionals to help drive integrated engagement strategies that help shape how external audiences understand and perceive our enterprise-wide story, financial performance, policy positions and overall differentiation in the marketplace.
Partner with other Corporate Functions (IR, Governance, Law, Gov’t. Affairs, Finance, Risk), as well as colleagues across the Brand Marketing & Advertising/Global Communications, to construct and execute holistic and integrated multi-channel communication strategies.
Serve as the day-to-day Global Communications contact for a bundle of Corporate Functions, with a primary focus on external communications.
Project manage key projects, including but not limited to strategic plans and calendar creation, media research and insights, communications and marketing material creation, competitive tracking, multi-media outreach (earned, owned, social).
Provide “outside-in” perspective to inform communications programming and storylines.
Bachelor’s degree in any field of academic rigor; Master’s degree a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications/public relations with an understanding of editorial, political, business and media cycles.
Agency experience and Financial Services knowledge is a plus.
Executive presence with an ability to work effectively and collaboratively within complex organizations.
Expert writing, media relations and project management skills.
Ability to balance immediate needs with longer-term strategic assignments simultaneously, with campaign-oriented experience a strong plus.
Ability to synthesize complex subject matter, translating technical subjects into relatable storylines.
Critical and creative thinker. Applies intellectual curiosity to all aspects of this role.
