Prudential Capital Group (PCG) is looking for a seasoned, hands-on technologist with a strong background in data modeling, data warehouses, and business intelligence solutions.
The incumbent will provide comprehensive consultation to business clients and IT colleagues on Business Intelligence (BI) / Data Modeling platforms, methodologies, and tools. S/he will work closely with all IT stakeholders (i.e. architecture, BSA’s, project managers, and developers) to drive and own the overall Data Warehouse and BI conceptual, logical, and physical data design. The individual will research and evaluate alternative technological options to complex business challenges and recommend efficient and cost effective solutions.
The BI Manager will also provide leadership in the detailed level data analysis and data profiling to understand the usage of the data and aid in the development of the models. S/he will own the creation of, and all updates to, the model in the data modeling tool(s) as well as the schema changes in the underlying database. The incumbent will also be expected to anticipate business and/or regulatory issues and recommend viable solutions.
· Partner with internal IT staff, particularly the BSA’s, to identify complex business needs.
· Partner with PCG business clients to gain an understanding of business requirements with the goal of anticipating business needs.
· Recommend appropriate BI and Data Modeling tools, platforms, and methodologies.
· Act as technical expert for all BI and Data Modeling technologies.
· May lead certain projects with notable risk and complexity.
· Analyze business requirements and help to determine implementation strategies.
· Understand and follow the complete Software Development Life Cycle methodology.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with Information Technology team and business partners
Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Minimum 10 years of data warehousing experience which includes logical and physical data modeling.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Relevant experience in the financial services industry a plus.
Strong experience in database design, development, integration, and reporting.
SQL Server development experience required (T-SQL, stored procedures, optimization techniques, SSIS)
Business Intelligence tools such as Cognos and Power BI strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.
