The Corporate Advertising Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Manager-Digital Copy.

The Manager-Digital Copy defines content strategy, digital editorial guidelines, project and account management for copywriting services provided by the Digital Team for Corporate, Acute Care and Behavioral Health clients.  Developer messaging and writes copy for top level digital channels.  Supervises the Digital Copywriter function, ensuring content quality, client satisfaction and adherence to projects schedules.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Champions development of content strategy and digital creative concepts; reviews all copy produced by digital content staff for digital content best-practices, style, completeness, accuracy, adherence to standards and quality.
  • Assigns and coordinates projects and monitors workflow, in partnership with the Director – Digital Marketing/Strategy and Project Manager.

  • Internal relationships: Maintains regular contact with senior editorial staff, acute care hospital marketing directors, behavioral health business development and marketing teams and UHS corporate office clients regarding direction, content and purpose of digital copy needs. Maintains regular contact with digital design and UX team for development of a collaborative team where copywriters and designers work together to achieve positive outcomes and ROI.

  • External relationships: Contacts, as necessary, agency partners, print media, photographers, and TV and radio media to identify and develop promotional materials to build business and increase patient volume with advertising and marketing initiatives and help enhance the company’s and the hospitals’ reputations through public relations activities.

  • Performs all the duties of a Senior Copywriter for designated hospitals. Drives corporate projects and develops strong working relationships with members of the Corporate Advertising team, Acute Care and Behavioral Health marketing directors and managers, and other teams, including: IPM, Prominence Health Plan, Crossings, and others as they are identified.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in content strategy and copywriting for digital channels (including web, mobile and social), copy standards, copy editing, public relations. Superior written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in content strategy, project management, client account services and service excellence.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with hospital functions, service lines and programs to help provide direction in effective copywriting. Demonstrated communication, leadership, supervisory and managerial skills.
  • Ability to strategize the development of marketing programs, working together with client teams, including senior management; establish goals and objectives for advertising and marketing campaigns and manage and oversee day-to-day project management, account management and copywriting activities.  

 

Travel Requirements: Minimal domestic US travel.
