The Global Communications team directs internal employee and external communications efforts to ensure the company's messages are aligned and delivered in accordance with Prudential’s goals and policies.


Reporting to the Vice President, Employee Communications and Engagement, this person will serve as the editor responsible for overseeing content published through Prudential’s global employee home page. In this role, you will: manage the real-time publication of corporate content and the curation of multiple subscription content streams; track site metrics and produce reports; partner with content contributors from business and corporate centers to ensure the content they are publishing delivers an employee-centric experience through customized news, information and tools to employee desktops and mobile devices adheres to defined editorial standards. This person will also be a key contributor to the ongoing evolution of the employee home page, providing strategic insight on the needs of both employees and content authors.
  • Managing a team of writers to produce timely, relevant content.
  • Overseeing the real-time publication of content.
  • Copyediting and ensuring content adheres to defined editorial standards.
  • Curating multiple subscription content streams.
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the company style guide.
  • Developing and maintaining an editorial calendar.
  • Moderating employee comments on published content.
  • Tracking site analytics, producing reports, contributing to the development of KPIs and gleaning insights from the data on information consumption and employee sentiment to help drive better outcomes.
  • Managing an ongoing relationship with content authors throughout the company to ensure a consistent experience for employees across all content sources.
  •  Working with graphic designers and video producers to help bring stories to life.
  • Contributing to the strategic development of the employee home page as well as broader employee engagement efforts.
This position will also help propose innovative approaches and solutions to engage employees and bring excitement and new experiences aligned with company purpose, culture and brand.

The successful candidate will have strong internal communications experience and demonstrated ability in successfully creating communications strategies, messaging and editorial content.


  • Worked in journalism, corporate communications or public relations in the areas of social and digital media
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience in working with a creative team
  • Knowledge of financial products or personal finance desirable.
  • Outstanding communications skills, a strategic mindset, and ability to interface at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to influence others and work collaboratively in order to produce results across multiple functional teams.
  • Ability to operate in a very fast-paced environment with multiple high-level priorities and daily deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field required
  • 8 years experience in communications, public relations or the media.
    Client-oriented mindset with an ability to work closely with and support the marketing teams in the company's various businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute strategic level thinking and influence direction.
