*Role Description*

The Engineering Manager partnering with Pharmaceutical Sciences is accountable and responsible for the management of all engineering, validation and maintenance deliverables on the Andover Clinical Manufacturing Facility (ACMF) equipment and systems for the entire life cycle of the asset. These deliverables include technical, qualification, performance, maintenance, reliability, and safety aspects of the asset for each phase of the life cycle using the assigned technical staff.The Engineering Manager will also focus on talent development, problem solving, coaching and feedback of the engineering staff reporting into them. This position will initially support the Andover Site Building E expansion project full time and will transfer to the Site Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities (EMU) group to provide engineering asset management of Building E when placed into service.#LI-SA1



*Responsibilities*

Key responsibilities:*Partner with Operations, Quality, Technical groups, and other site/network groups as required to establish business and compliance requirements of the asset.*Plan and forecast work required for the asset.*Provides good judgment and innovation by utilizing and adapting a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive experience.*Remain current in requirements of the ever changing business environment inclusive of plan of record, capital budgeting and total cost of ownership including reliability.*Preparation of Capital Investment requirements to maintain Asset Reliability.*Accountable to estimate expense and capital budgets associated with asset lifecycle.*Review and approve documents associated with the assets.*Technical understanding of assets and capability to evaluate people assigned to support the asset.*Accountable for asset during any operational period 24/7 including reliability, performance tuning and utility conservation.*Accountable for the Preventative Maintenance lifecycle and asset optimization, to include Job Plan generation*and review.*Accountable as the main POC (Point of Contact) to Operations, Quality, Regulatory, EH&S, EMU, Global Operatoins and other groups as needed. *Accountable for quality of work performed.*Provide support in the development of engineering standards.*Lead change by applying LEAN principles and Continuous Improvement methodology.*Foster a Safety Culture*Provide development opportunities, cross-functional training, mentoring and diversity with work assignments to staff*Provide support to regulatory inspections and projects*Develop and utilize metrics to monitor and make decisions*Accountable for Engineering Resource planning *Accountable for evaluation and managing of staff performance *Mediate and help resolve conflict*Provide Technical guidance*Identify cost efficiencies *Evaluate need for outside services and provide oversight of outside services*Ensure staff has appropriate training for assignments



*Qualifications*

Candidate should have a BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical engineering or relevant discipline is required. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience with managing technical staff with a broad knowledge of engineering, validation and maintenance in a Biopharmaceutical plant. Strong leadership and communication skills are needed. Ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time and working within a matrix organization is required. NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Minimal travel for support of assets and projectsAbility to manage work and direct reports on off shift (Nights and Weekends)
