Job Details


+ This is a business technology role that will be the technical lead in the area of Government Pricing.

+ This role will be a key point of contact for Government Pricing business clients.

+ The role must be able to collaborate with partners with business clients in several areas of the Finance and Business Operations organization to understand end to end business objectives and provide technology solutions to support these objectives.

+ Work hands on within the FLEX Government Pricing to understand the business client processes.

+ Work with BT and business leads across multiple work streams to define, create, and maintain end to end operational efficiencies and control.

+ Oversee consultants responsible for the delivery of new solutions and services.

+ Define technical solutions and services to be built to enable Business Unit strategies, goals and objectives.

+ Identify opportunities through business analysis to apply technology and processes that will improve key business performance indicators.


Technical Lead

+ Manage and deliver solutions for multiple Government Pricing projects across varying business areas to support business objectives.

+ Provide a technical point of contact and accountability for the client.

+ Work with service providers to deliver solutions/projects effectively and efficiently.

+ Gather and analyze business requests to determine how best to prioritize and create successful resolution.

+ Help clients understand service offerings available from internal BT service providers and work with management to secure appropriate resources for projects

+ Collaborate with other Client Engagement Managers and BT Leadership to develop and execute technology strategy across functional areas of the business.

+ Facilitate technology initiatives which directly impact client portfolio.

Project Management

+ Define project approach while gaining client and project team member buy-in.

+ Utilize experience with the System Development Life Cycle Process (SDLC).

+ Will Lead and direct one or more project teams.

+ Create, review, and evaluate project plans and objectives.

+ Track and report progress relative to time, budget, and demonstrated results.

+ Communicate project status, milestones and issues to project sponsors.

+ Apply effective project management methodologies and control techniques.

+ Work independently and with Project Team members to ensure task-level plans are completed and executed on time.

+ Manage project critical path and scope.

People Management

+ Create and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, management, and peers.

+ Able to influence other groups within organization without direct oversight responsibility.

+ Management of contracted resources.

+ Comfortable presenting in front of small and large audiences.


+ Bachelor's Degree in Business or the Computer Sciences

+ Master's Degree or MBA a plus

+ 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL required

+ Experience in Unix and/or Informatica and/or Cognos preferred

+ Experience in the Life Sciences Industry preferred

+ Experience in the Government Pricing area preferred

+ Experience with the Flex Suite of Products or Model N a plus

+ System Development Life Cycle experience

+ Lean / Six Sigma Certification a plus

Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule. Role demands travel between Pfizer locations, however, typically less than 20%. Role may demand management of night and weekend work when projects are going live or issues are encountered in production.
