The Manager, Contracts is part of the Individual Life Insurance Contracts Team. This person will be responsible for contract development, filing, and implementation support for new, revised and re-priced products and benefits and other regulatory requirements.  The Contracts Team is part of Product Solutions in the Individual Life Insurance organization.

This position can be in our Newark, NJ or Hartford, CT offices.





This position will work in a team environment with end-to-end responsibility for contract development, filing, implementation support, due diligence and ready to sell updates.  The primary responsibilities of this position will include research, analysis, and development of contracts forms that comply with applicable laws and regulations and meet the product design and marketing needs. The scope of these responsibilities will include coordination with key business partners in the product, actuarial, and legal areas to ensure that contracts and related documents are complete and accurate and to secure required sign-offs.  This position will also help in the preparation and review of filings and responses to questions/objections from regulators and working with the development and testing teams and other business partners to support product implementation plans.

  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in using MS Word and Excel and Adobe software.
  • Detailed knowledge of individual life insurance products is strongly preferred and/or Product development experience.
  • Previous contract drafting and/or filing experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements and related industry standards would be a significant plus.
