Description ROLE SUMMARY



+ Manager, Information Management will be responsible for leading and supporting strategic initiatives within CoE to enhance operational efficiencies using systems and systems enabled processes.



+ Provide expertise for escalations of operational services outsourced by Information Management (e.g., Tier 1 services, quality management, data management, study start up, electronic data, etc.)



+ Act as an SME across Global Product Development in appropriate technologies and process initiatives.



+ Liaise with customer and BT organizations ensuring alignment and Operational/SME support



+ This role demands the ability to work both autonomously on assigned work items, as well as being a member of a strongly interactive team. Skill set of potential candidates must include demonstrated experience in technology implementation, process development, and communication.



ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

**Technology Implementation**



+ Provide technology implementation management and oversight of site-based related activities including multiple vendors currently providing these technologies.

+ This role will be accountable to coordinate, oversee, and take action on technology implementation activities and training.



**Process and Standards**



+ Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies through process and metrics analysis

+ Participate and lead efforts to develop processes, standards and training as they relate to the technology-enabled clinical trial processes

+ Promote the use of consistent, efficient, and quality processes to meet timelines and deliverables



**System Oversight**



+ Establish, maintain and communicate system oversight metrics

+ Lead and manage system development activities (requirements gathering, change control, release management, and UAT coordination) as applicable



**Customer Outreach**



+ Plan and execute communication plans & methods for engaging customer populations (e.g., newsletters, websites, user groups)

+ Interface with customers on solutions, requirements, continuous improvement, deployment change management, user groups and workshops, etc

+ Understand customers and stakeholders and ensure they are satisfied with support services and systems

+ Build & maintain knowledge-base (e.g., FAQ)



**General**



+ Able to resolve conflicts, influence and communicate with key stakeholders and user groups

+ Collaborate with key departments at Pfizer both within GPD and across lines and divisions

+ Support rapid response, audit and inspection needs



**QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BA Degree in a scientific, technology and/or business discipline, with 5+ years of working experience within clinical trials.

+ Experience/knowledgeable in study optimization, Monitoring/Study management, study startup, EDC, investigator payments, or other site-based technologies.

+ Technical expertise and business process support in technology systems

+ Demonstrated project management skills (multiple complex projects)

+ Project management, administrative, and technical capabilities are required, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization.

+ Ability to manage multiple contacts and relationships at various levels throughout the organization

+ Experience with business process re-engineering and implementation planning is required

+ Team player with good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to self-motivate on assigned sub-projects as required.

+ Talent for training/presentation also required

+ Self-starter who is able to work independently and willing to provide original thinking

+ Adaptable and able to work with study teams with disparate levels of technical experience

+ Understanding of current technology and how it could be used to facilitate growth toward overall corporate goals
