As a Manager, Internal Sales you will directly supervise a staff of Internal Wholesalers who support the sales effort by initiating and/or responding to telephone calls to/from Financial Advisors focused specifically on Edward Jones relationship. The Internal Wholesaler focus is to find new relationships and support existing ones, creating loyalty to Prudential Life Distributors in this multi carrier environment while partnering closely with their Dedicated Life Consultant and team.
You will have responsibility and partner with the other Internal Sales Managers in leading the performance management of the team and for maintaining daily/monthly goals and objectives at an individual level.  These objectives are measured through daily activity, quality of interaction over the phone and sales results. You will work closely with your peers and have full management authority over the Internal Wholesalers assigned to you to provide coaching, direction, motivation, development and progression opportunities. You will partner closely with your peers and other leaders within the team to provide effective counsel on team trends and opportunities and to ensure a collaborative environment.      
Sales is a driving focus of this management position. Coaching and enhancing sales skills is a priority. Working with external wholesalers and sales management to gain feedback will be important to improve productivity and enhance relationships within the internal wholesaling team and the external sales division. 
Responsibilities include:
  • Coach and manage team of 10-15 individuals
  • Drive sales results through internal wholesaler activity
  • Train team on sales concepts
  • Development of the sales talent
  • Analyze and communicate sales and activity results to field and senior management
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance team production
  • Manages and maintains relationships with Distribution sales partners, Edward Jones and carriers

  • 5 years of sales experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven problem solving and multitasking abilities
  • Series 6 (or 7) and 63 (or 65) –must obtain within the first 180 days of employment
  • Series 24 or 26 – must obtain within the first 180 days of employment
  • Some travel will be required
Preferred Experience and Education
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience preferred
