Prudential’s Individual Solutions Group (ISG) is on a journey to transform its technology landscape from older, custom built applications to newer, packaged, cutting edge software. The person filling this role will be responsible for providing leadership and to be a part of an innovative organization within Annuities and Life Technology Group.  This team is responsible for enabling a climate that helps the organization remove barriers between ideas and business outcomes by embodying Agile Principles and values and utilizing Agile frameworks and practices.


The successful candidate will partner with senior leaders across Prudential, providing thought leadership and recommending solutions to enhance business outcomes through modeling Agile values, principles and practices.  


This individual will collaborate with key stakeholders in leading a multi-year effort to increase Agile adoption and champion a climate of continuous improvement across the Individual Solutions group.  He/she will also be expected to lead the development of new Agile capabilities, mentor others and be a key contributor to building a successful and sustainable practice.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Works as part of cross-functional team to establish sustainable Agile practice by recommending, developing, and leading the integration of agile best practices to support desired business outcomes.

  • Works within the practice team and across the organization to connect individuals and teams to accomplish large scale deliverables and business value.

  • Coaches and mentor’s individuals and cross functional teams to implement improved ways of collaborating and developing into high-performing, self-organizing units

  • Embraces and encourages an Agile mindset across teams to cultivate an optimal climate for team development and maturity.

  • Leads and influences by providing insight and advice on emerging Agile best practices, processes and control frameworks.

  • Consults with individuals and cross-functional teams to implement improved ways of collaborating and developing into high-performing, self-organizing units.

  • May be responsible for identifying individual and team training needs.  Able to develop a cohesive recommendation and/or set of solutions.  May coordinate and implement training plans/processes/solutions. 

  • Regarded as an agile expert within the organization who is adept at understanding both Agile concepts and methodologies, as well as the unique needs of the organization, tailoring solutions that satisfy both.

  • Leverages business value delivery and initiative objectives (i.e., Epics and Features (KPIs)) to inform decision making.

  • Enables teams to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business using agile frameworks and practices.

  • May engage on Agile initiatives with notable risk and complexity.

  • Motivates and supports a diverse constituency in a collaborative, team-oriented organization.


  • Experience with managing high performing teams and direct reports
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and customer base.
  • Organizational awareness; ability to navigate and influence across organization
  • Strong emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills and ability to act judiciously and empathetically.
  • Demonstrates strong aptitude for mentoring/coaching and a passion for development of people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and leadership, across organization and vendors
  • Strong technical skills and relevant experience including knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge and background with Lean- Agile preferably with a certification (CSM, CSPO, CSP, Leading SAFe)
  • Deep knowledge and experience with scaling framework (e.g. Scrum at Scale, SAFe, etc.) including all roles, processes and practices within the framework.
  • Strong business acumen.  Financial Services experience a plus.
  • Experience leading Agile transformation(s) across large organizations.
  • 4 years’ experience as ScrumMaster, Product Owner or Agile Coach.
  • 8-10 years Business domain and/or technical experience and process management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Travel required (approximately 25%)
