Description: Walmart eCommerce’s Last Mile Strategy Team is hiring! Who we are: we sit within the Transportation group in the Supply Chain branch of Walmart eCommerce, headquartered in San Bruno, CA. Our focus is on tackling one of the largest opportunity areas in eCommerce which is metaphorically known as the last mile, or the final step of the supply chain that delivers a customer’s order. Our team ideates, analyzes, plans, builds, launches, iterates, and improves initiatives in this logistical area that leverage Walmart’s competitive advantages (e.g. Associate Delivery). We are looking for talented, creative, and motivated individuals who are seeking challenges and to shape the future of eCommerce! Who we are looking for: • Strong analytical thinkers – hypothesis-driven candidates that can perform solid analyses identifying opportunity areas by root causing, analyzing, and developing insights of key data (for example, metrics, reports, ad-hoc/deep-dive analyses) using Excel and SQL. Candidate will be distilling these insights to recommend solutions, process, and/or development opportunities (for example, front-end features, system enhancements, or new untapped growth areas) with a demonstrated and sustained impact on performance • Strategic mindset – ability to think strategically and holistically about opportunities while maintaining a systematic perspective. Candidate must be able to frame issues, recognize dependencies, consider impact of time and other key inputs, prioritize solutions, and provide recommendations • Drive – driven, self-motivated personalities who are eager to “take the ball and run with it”. Our team does not limit itself to providing recommendations but just as importantly taking ownership, executing, and driving results • Collaborative – strong project/program management skillset is essential for leading cross-functional projects to completion. Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage multiple parties’ expectations and build relationships, influence key partners in and Walmart Corporate while gaining buy-in, support design phases, lead key analyses, driving a scalable and efficient solution, monitor progress, establish reporting structures, and ensure timely completion • Desire to learn and explore – curious individuals who continuously ask themselves “Why?” and “What if…?” thrive in our team.
