Job Description

Cisco seeks a strong leader and communicator with a deep understanding of partner/channels sales and business fundamentals to lead the Partner Services and Software strategy in Latin America (LatAm).

This position will lead a team of Partner Services and Software Managers (PSSMs) driving the development of partners’ lifecycle practices that accelerate recurring revenue streams.

The PSSM team works closely with subject matter experts as each piece of the lifecycle requires specific expertise, including the Software Partner Development Specialists who will maintain their role of being the land experts on Cisco software and software buying programs. The PSSM team also partners with Customer Success Managers. They are the subject matter experts responsible for driving adoption and expansion practices with our partners, which are critical to ultimately driving services and software renewals. In addition, the PSSM team is highly collaborative with our PAMs as they build out partner specific plans.

This leadership role requires senior level relationship building, effective communication and presentation skills as well as an intimate knowledge of Cisco’s services and software offerings and channel partner environment.

Success in this role requires an understanding of Partner requirements and business metrics, and an aptitude for influencing and guiding internal stakeholders as well as partners. This position manages overall operations for our Americas Partner Services and Software Latin America segment, including resource allocation, contract negotiation and partner and distributor issue resolution.

Manages and directs the planning, implementation and management of our LatAm Services and Software Go-to-Market plan.

Represents the Americas Partner Organization in EBC's, and participates in major cross-functional projects affecting Cisco business, product, or service leadership.

Works with little or no direction and is mindful of organizational goals and objectives. Independently identifies complex issues and resolves complex problems that impact strategic direction.  

Requirements:

·       10+ Years working in a Channel Partner role with senior level exposure.

·       Prior team management experience.

·       Prior experience and deep understanding of Services offering

·       Full proficiency in English and Spanish. Portuguese desirable.

·       Ability to travel 30% of the time.

·       Bachelor's degree is required. Technical background (engineering, computer science, physical science) degree highly desirable. Master’s degree preferred (MBA highly desirable)

 

Required Competencies:

- Experience in account and partner management.

- Strong understanding of networking product applications, network management techniques, and service and software strategies, particularly as it relates to Recurring Revenue.

- Ability to manage and direct sales strategies to customers as well as channel partners and distributors.

- Team player, with proven ability to manage by influence.

- Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills required.

- General understanding of legal contracts.

- Strong skills in strategic planning, customer relations and retention, contract development and negotiation, support operations and business management.

- Proven track record of collaboration across multiple organizations in order to accomplish significant achievements driving customer satisfaction and Cisco revenue.

- Must be excellent communicator, team builder and motivator with a proven ability to provide leadership while exhibiting strong interpersonal communication skills.

- Practical experience in managing by influence.

- Must be organized and self-motivated.

- Ability to manage and lead group activities.

- Ability to effectively hire, train, mentor and manage a staff with diverse backgrounds.
