What You’ll Do

Reporting to the ASEAN Partner Business Group Leader, this is a crucial country leadership position, responsible for leading a team of Partner Account Managers (PAM) in Malaysia.

  • Ensure all PAMs run their go to market unit strategies, according to agreed budgets, revenue targets and operating guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship between Malaysia Cisco Partners and Cisco internal stakeholder
  • Lead the Country Partner team, making important resource decisions that apply both corporate and account team resources to new opportunities
  • Responsible for building world-class workforce according to corporate guidelines and standards-hiring, training and development, coaching and performance management.
  • Developing and executing sales strategy and tactics that maximize Cisco opportunity within the customer environment. Along with sales planning, this position is responsible for accurate forecasting. Direct customer contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment.
  • Proven sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process.

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales leadership roles selling ITC solutions and services.
  • Experience in management of all aspects of sales support processes, organizational structures, management practices, staff development.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysia landscape, market and economics
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with Country Sales and Marketing Leaders
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Consistent track record of selling, coaching and mentorship; commitment to sales force performance and ability to identify and cultivate future sales leaders
  • Ability to develop and execute both strategic and tactical plans
  • Familiarity with Cisco’s full products, architectures and services offerings
  • Demonstrated leaderships and ability to work cross-functionally across various organizations (products, services, finance, human resources etc.) to drive outcomes
  • You demonstrated successful performance as a “change agent” within Cisco or other companies.
  • Experience in business planning, developing sales and marketing programs and execution of programs and strategy would be a major plus.
  • Proven people management capability and leadership skills. Ability to work in a diverse and multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability/affinity for communicating with customers/senior internal management in both formal and informal situations.
  • A high degree of creative ability, analytical and business skills and independent judgment are continually employed.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, listening and presentation skills. Able to articulate complex ideas and strategies to people at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field and from a reputable university/college. MBA desirable but not required.
