Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a qualified Multi-Services Manager to work with a large global company in Englewood, NJ.  This manager will oversee the day to day operation of site services including Janitorial, Maintenance, Pest Control as well as sub-contractors for outsourced services.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team and best practices for janitorial services for a large company, knowledge of safety cleaning methods, and GMP experience. 

 

The Manager’s duties include but not limited to:

  • Probe potential problems and apprise manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
  • Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
  • Manage by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate.
  • Assist in the development of new business service(s) for the client and implements the service program(s).
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. certifications, licenses, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
  • Establish operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
  • Establish a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and with standards and procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials and/or waste

Position Summary

Functions at an account/unit providing two or more core services (facilities/engineering, food or custodial). Responsible for managing employees in multi- service areas in a single unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence
Key Duties
- Manages operations and monitors department KRI’s and rounding for multiple service areas by fulfilling contractual obligations.

- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.

- Performs basic HR duties; hiring, counseling, terminations, employee issues, and training.

- Provides positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree  

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending)
