Position Overview:
Will direct both project and functional management efforts during the software development lifecycle. Collaboration with other development related functional areas such as architecture, systems analysis, product assurance, and project management to ensure products meet high quality standards and that available time, capital, human, technological, and information resources are optimized. Participation in setting of and tracking against departmental and overall project schedules. Staffing management including hiring of full time and contingent personnel, career planning, training, and performance management. Participates in long range strategy, planning, prioritization, and scheduling for the product and department work flow.

Activities include auditing of development phases and delivered product to ensure it meets the needs of both the business and client end users. Providing technical and product support towards performance, functionality, and usability.


Personal attributes include a high degree of collaboration and partnership with other peer development organizations, business unit product management, other client partners, and end users to produce innovative solutions and establish business priorities.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs one or more Agile development groups in the successful design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications. Orchestrate SDLC processes and allocate resources in accordance with priorities.
  • Interacts with key stakeholders, Business Analysis, Product Assurance, Product Management, Product Marketing, and business partners in development of specifications and creation, testing and implementation of products.
  • Responsible for managing one or more critical business initiative efforts. Provides and administers standard procedures and principles for the department for both personnel and technical issues.
  • Directs the development of procedures and policies related to applications development and maintenance. Lead and monitor SDLC for effectiveness & productivity. Participates in key project reviews and organizational activities.
  • Ensures that projects meet time and budget constraints while ensuring that specifications are met.
  • Manages performance; attracts and retains talent; leads team in manner that results in highly engaged Associates.
  • Keeps up to date on technological changes, especially with languages, operating systems, tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrates position-appropriate business, people and market leadership.
  • Demonstrates hands on technical skills for review or architecture or for development.

Qualifications

  • Prefer at least 5 years of experience in HCM domain
  • 5 to 8 years of development experience using a wide range of technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Java/J2EE, Angular, React, Node, JQuery, WebSphere, SQL/PLSQL, Messaging technologies like MQ and reporting solutions like BIRT, Crystal. Hibernate, Rest.
  • 2 to 5 years of demonstrable experience in leading small development teams.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Math or equivalent experience.
