Position Description:

The Data Warehouse Manager oversees, monitors, and manages the operations of the Company’s Data Warehouse support team to ensure specific data, analytical, and application solutions are developed which effectively meet the needs of the Company. The individual must have strong communication skills and critical thinking techniques and the ability to analyze and facilitate resolutions.

  • Manages the data warehouse and EDI support environment
  • Develops, tests, and deploys code/packages into Data Warehouse based on business requirements
  • Responsible for EDI Implementation including documentation, quality assurance, implementation support, and workflow management
  • Manages EDI-related business support responsibilities, which includes production monitoring, file maintenance, creating and maintaining KPI dashboard including ad hoc reporting.
  • Responsible for the design, development and re-engineering of process to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services.
  • Answers users’ questions and maintains data that are accurate, easy to use that satisfies the users’ needs.
  • Builds working relationships with others throughout the organization to leverage resources and support to effectively complete identified tasks.
  • Meets regularly with business units to discover and proactively prepare for future data needs while staying up to date with users’ current needs.
  • Facilitates the design and drives the planning for the integration of all data warehouse components, with scalability, performance, and availability in mind.
  • Supervises support personnel as it relates to all projects or related work, establishes performance requirements, clarifies responsibilities of those supervised, conduct performance reviews and plans for individual employee development.
  • Keeps manager informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
  • Oversees uptime, ongoing maintenance, and upgrades of software and hardware relating to the Data Warehouse environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information systems, Statistics, related field or equivalent work experience.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in data analysis or data management roles with advanced knowledge of database query languages (SQL).
  • Transactional database design; multidimensional database modeling and analytical data warehouse design.
  • Experience in one or more of the following:  cloud data services, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau and Teradata.
  • Advanced understanding of the systems development lifecycle and project management practices to include agile principles.
  • Minimum of two years of management or technical lead experience. 
  • Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skills.  Excellent communication, team building, and interpersonal skills.
