Position Description:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Additional Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in major IT solutions including Windows, UNIX, Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, virtualization, SAN Network layers 1-7, Storage arrays including both disk and solid state. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Possesses knowledge of all core IT infrastructure technologies including both UNIX and X86 servers, storage, fabrics, networking and WAN. Has the ability to translate infrastructure issues in a manner that is understandable to the business both in the form of impact and time to resolution. Possess advance analytical diagnostic, reverse engineering, and problem solving skills. Can lead diverse teams to root cause and solution. Familiarity with collaboration platforms. (Share-point, Slack, Confluence.) Expertise in Excel and Visio. Knowledge of team dynamics and the ability to lead change. Creative thinker with the ability to breakdown complex technology solutions into pieces that provide value to the business. Strong business knowledge of distribution based companies.

POSITION PURPOSE: The Manager of IT Infrastructure oversees all of the core infrastructure for IBI. This includes responsibility for multiple geographically diverse data centers and all of the core equipment to run Interline Brands as a business from an IT perspective. The position will oversee the planning and implementation of new IT infrastructure as well as refreshing existing equipment as part of the normal life cycle. The position will set team based SLA's, define project deliverable, manage various levels of infrastructure personnel and define priorities for projects as well as day to day operations. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Personnel leadership - Manage, coach and provide direction to both junior and senior level system administrators. Manage career progression and development. Project management - Manage 10+ initiatives at any point in time. Project efforts include - initial scope of effort, sizing, design, procurement, install and configuration. Operations - Manage day to day operations which includes monitoring, reporting and problem resolution. Adjust team priorities as required to meet business SLA's. Security - Manage normal day to day security for ingress, egress and data at rest. Work with dedicated security teams to manage new tools as well as reporting and remediation for new attacks. Strategic planning - Assist in strategic planning for 1/3/5 year plans to provide resilient infrastructure while leveraging emerging technologies that benefit the business plan. Provide input for annual budget planning for $3-4 million dollars in combined budget. Vendor management - Work with critical vendors to make sure we have good relationships for procurement and support. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environmental Job Requirement: 1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: 2. Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time
