Position in this function includes those responsible for management and administration of multiple Medical & Clinical Operations Functions, or managing general operations which are not specific to one of the functions in the Medical & Clinical Operations job family.
 
***This is a work from home opportunity within the state of Louisiana.  The person may be required to work in the office for meetings on a quarterly basis and also travel 25% of the time performing staff audits. Travel for this role will primarily include the greater Baton Rouge/Lafayette area but may also include all of Louisiana based on business needs***
  
The work schedule of this position is Mon - Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST.
 

If you are located in or near the greater Baton Rouge or Lafayette, LA areas, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Performs supervisory audits as necessary
  • Overall responsibility for the supervision and coordination of all workflow activities related to case management team
  • Manages to operational targets using a variety of reporting metrics, working with the team to achieve these operating goals
  • Provides mentorship and training for team members
  • Supports excellent employee performance and encourage staff development
  • Assists with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Conducts weekly meetings to review complex cases and changes in procedures
  • Completes special projects and tasks as assigned
  • Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors
  • Impact of work in most often at the local level
Required Qualifications:
  • Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, OR an RN. License must be active and unrestricted in the state of Louisiana 
  • 2+ years of healthcare leadership experience
  • 2+ years of Case Management experience
  • 2+ years working in Medicaid and/or Medicare health care and insurance industry, including regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in software applications that include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Must be open for obtaining CCM certification within 30 months of being hired if you do not already have one
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years Clinical background
  • CCM
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with focusing activities toward a strategic direction as well as develop tactical plans, drive performance and achieve targets
  • Problem solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others
