 Cisco India has made significant investments of close to USD 2B till date. Over the past 15 years the site has evolved into one of the most strategic investments for Cisco worldwide. The site has 4 key levers – The Engineering team, which has significant global product engineering responsibilities and a key site for innovation, a world class Sales organization, Global delivery centers for Advance Services, Technical services, IT and corporate functions and best in class culture.

 

There is a significant opportunity to leverage all the levers of investments simultaneously to dramatically increase Cisco’s business interest in India and innovation from India for India and rest of the world by leading high profile, strategic initiatives in India, oftentimes through significant cross-functional teams. This individual will be required to work cross functionally to facilitate decision-making, accountability, and results. This role requires strong intelligence and emotional skills, focus, and quick turnaround, leveraging resources from across the company in developing and executing critical elements of our India Strategy.

 Job Description:

 This individual will play a critical role in Cisco India Engineering and Site operations and strategic initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role provides a strong perspective and exposure to Cisco´s business and engineering operations.

 

Major responsibilities include the following:

• Drive Cisco India’s engineering and site operations including University relations & hiring, event planning and management, and managing partner/vendor relationships

• Assist the India Engineering leadership team on priority initiatives through effective program management and communications

• Partner with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources on a regular basis to ensure alignment and execution excellence

• Contribute to planning and running strategic initiatives such as Cisco LaunchPad

 Key qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline from a top school

• At least 5 years of experience in the High Tech industry, preferably in the networking and infrastructure sectors

• Prior program management and business operations experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, solid business knowledge

• Self-motivated, driven, and autonomous with a can-do attitude
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and creative

 Desirable qualifications:

• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; good quantitative modeling/analysis

• Ability to understand strategic frameworks and methodologies
