Manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Settlement Solutions to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, quality and financial goals through the effective management of employees and resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with Leadership to oversee daily operations of Settlement Solutions to ensure that all production and quality goals are met and that customer satisfaction is guaranteed
  • Works with the MedicareConnect team and the leadership to lead the MMSEA Section 111 Reporting Operations
  • Leads all Pre-Settlement Programs and coordinates handling with all internal Optum departments to include clinical, compliance, finance, account management, and sales
  • Works closely with the leadership, to respond to RFPs, present results at stewardship meetings, and increase service penetration
  • Works closely with product strategy and Operations to assure Settlement Operations align with organizational tenets
  • Leads enhancement of products delivered by Settlement Solutions and is a key contributor to new product development and implementation
  • Leads the operations team in day-to-day activities including developing and training all employees in their primary duties and cross training employees across the operation to have flexibility in work assignments and meeting production targets during times of heavy referrals and assignments
  • Identifies workflow and process improvements and implements new workflows with technology and resources to achieve best practice results
  • Works with management and Human Resources to ensure staffing requirements are satisfactory to handle workload, analyzing and develop and execute a work force plan to meet objectives and workload requirements
  • Works with leadership to develop key metrics to drive results in the business and exceed customer expectations for quality and turnaround time
  • Works leadership and Human Resources to manage turnover, the use of overtime and incentive plans to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Work with Human Resources on recruitment, on-boarding, performance appraisals, compensation, training and development, with an emphasis on hiring and retaining top talent
  • Leads the Settlement Solutions team in crisis management and business continuity planning, managing projects as assigned on facilities and offsite team issues
  • Maintains strong client relationships and works with sales and account management teams on client presentations and stewardship events as well as managing the complaint resolution process
  • Performs other functions as assigned by management
