Job Summary:
The Product Manager is responsible for supporting assigned products through their full lifecycle to drive profitable revenue growth and an enhanced client experience. This is accomplished by executing the product roadmap while collaborating with business, operations, and technology partners. The Product Manager works closely with the Sr. Product Manager for planning, go-to-market strategy, product enhancements, and monitoring performance metrics, with a goal of ensuring the strategy is supported and the tactical plan is properly developed and executed. In this role, the PM will also work closely with other Product Managers, UX, Business Analyst(s), Scrum Master, Developers and Quality Assurance disciplines to build, enhance and manage one or more products, capabilities and services using Agile software methodologies. Additionally, this role requires a high-level technical understanding of web applications and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Product Managers must work closely with others across the business both inside and outside of the Product and Technology organizations and must be able to clearly communicate with individuals and groups having varying levels of expertise in Technology and Products.

Responsibilities:
  • Product management support for products, product suites, and client experiences
  • Interacts with Sr. Product Managers and stakeholders to assess product performance and user satisfaction
  • Provide product contributions, leadership, and tactical delivery while collaborating with sales, client experience, technology, support and clients
  • Creation of user story development acceptance criteria and sign offs
  • Work within IT capability team(s) to decompose features into system level stories 
  • Support the product roadmap and drive plans to achieve company goals, and market and consumer insights
  • Responsible for product delivery within the Agile development process, as well as identifying minimum viable product
  • Partners with Sr. product manager(s) to provide technical / tactical guidance and ensure feature requirements fulfill business objectives
  • Manage the product backlog (including prioritizing, triage, refining and complete management of the backlog)
  • Participate in the daily stand-ups, Iteration Planning meetings, project status meetings, retrospectives, and program strategy meetings
  • Validate the product progress at the end of every iteration by participating in signoff and showcase/demo

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • BS/BA Degree; MBA preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in the management/development/execution/launch of products/services, ideally within the logistics product portfolio
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, software engineers, quality assurance engineers, customers and subject matter experts
  • Ability to resolve issues, develop alternative solutions and provide justified recommendations
  • Be able to simplify complex and sometimes competing requirements
  • Proven problem solving ability and able to make trade-off decisions between possible and desirable, which requires solid negotiation skills and business acumen
  • Experience managing requirements for software or web development, technical specifications, understanding of milestones and deliverables, and other project documentation 
  • Travel required (up to 25%)
