Prudential Advisors is seeking a Financial Services Product Manager with a deep understanding of the annuity marketplace and experience in managing complex projects and/or leading cross functional work teams. The Product Manager will join a team that is responsible for managing the product portfolio and sales systems that Prudential Advisors makes available to their advisors.  The product manager will serve as a subject matter expert relative to the current product portfolio, emerging product trends, and the related training and sales system environments.

The Product Manager will be expected to drive change through a defined matrix organization. The following details specific roles that the product manager may be asked to perform:

  • Maintaining relationships with other Prudential affiliates, external vendors, and product manufacturers in resolving business issues and driving change.
  • Evaluating experienced hire candidate book of business inventories to quantify book of business transfer opportunities or obstacles.
  • Supporting the maintenance of our product shelf.
  • Serving as a product subject matter expert on cross functional teams as necessary in supporting the maintenance of our training and selling system environments.
  • Supporting the development of recommendation to add and remove products as dictated by competitive forces.
  • Leading competitive intelligence and benchmarking projects.
  • Developing product portfolio business cases and manage the related post approval product implementation needs.
  • Maintaining and monitoring our product sales metrics and product post implementation reviews.


  • 4 years of financial services industry is required. Product management or sales support experience is preferred
  • Deep understanding of the annuity product landscape is essential
  • BS/BA preferred
  • Prior experience in managing relationships, projects, and cross functional work teams in a matrixed environment is desirable
  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
