The Manager of Relationship Management leads a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) who are responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing defined contribution and defined benefit retirement clients and their intermediaries.  This role is responsible for ensuring RMs are delivering a high-level client and advisor satisfaction through periodic client/advisor meetings and discussions covering service levels, plan utilization, product offerings, expenses, and fund investment performance.
The Manager of RM will lead and focus on the regional strategy for the Target and Emerging segments for a region. This role will be accountable for the client management objectives for these segments across the region including: client retention, revenue growth, expense management, service model standardization, process efficiency, client satisfaction and key intermediary relationship oversight.
The Manager of RM will collaborate frequently with the regional leadership team as well as key business partners; client service managers, actuarial consultants, operations, marketing, sales and strategic relations.
Proven expertise in managing people through development of individuals skill sets (client management, negotiations and consultative selling), driving strategic business changes and initiatives within a team.  Ability to lead new approaches, ways of thinking to deliver results, and organizational changes.

  • 5 years financial service experience with background in Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Non-Qualified Benefit products
  • Minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of recordkeeping platforms and workflow systems
  • Investment experience with mutual funds and stable value products
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Superior communication skills
  • Self-starter who demonstrates courage to drive positive change
  • Strong partnering, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Open to new approaches and is adaptive and receptive to change
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed (approximately 20% of time)
  • FINRA Series 6, 63, and 26
  • Life Insurance Licensed
