Overview

Prudential’s Actuarial department is seeking an individual with strong SharePoint architecture, development and administration experience to serve as the primary owner of an enterprise Integrated SharePoint Site.   The individual occupying this role will be a pivotal member of the Operations COE team and will lend their expertise in process design, technology and results management.  If you are a technical problem solver with an eye for solution design with an eagerness to start from a blank piece of paper, this is the role for you.  Keep reading to learn more! 

 

In this role, you will be accountable for providing your expertise to help build the foundation of our conceptualized (and not yet designed/built) Integrated SharePoint Site.  You will have the opportunity to work across the Actuarial department, and interact with varying levels within the organization (executive to associate), with individuals of varying levels of SharePoint experience, and with teams spanning the entire Actuarial department. 

 

You will be asked to roll out a world-class integrated SharePoint solution using industry best practices, principles and the latest SharePoint related technologies. You will collect, analyze, recommend and drive a strategy that is a sound functional solution with the goal to create/drive a collaborative Actuarial community using technology.   You will participate in developing proper controls and governance for the SharePoint Site. 

 

Being well versed in SharePoint architecture and administration will enable you to not only support Actuarial in development, but help Actuarial learn and utilize SharePoint to its potential. In addition, you will maintain the site would include leveraging it for different purposes and incorporating new technologies to keep the site relevant as it matures. 

 

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Serve as a key conduit with end-user community defining requirements to restructure, reorganize & deliver internal content.

• Work across Actuarial to ensure the integrity of the information provided on managed document libraries, lists and other repositories. This includes reviewing for consistency, visual congruity, redundancy, timeliness, confidentiality, and controlled information use.

• Assist with the direction of the overall structure and design, deployment scheduling, version control, and testing procedures.

• Support SharePoint architecture design, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures working in partnership with content owners to enforce corporate guidelines.

• Recommend and implement additional functionality or enhancements to existing SharePoint solutions to improve overall collaboration.

• Collaborate with technology groups, such as Global Business Technology Services and Enterprise System Services, to ensure the continuation of a common, stable development environment for our business partners

• Elevate understanding and usage of SharePoint in Actuarial.

• Stay abreast of technology and new developments concerning digital platforms.


Required Qualifications

• Proficient level knowledge of SharePoint Designer, InfoPath

• Strong understanding of information architecture: site mapping, taxonomy, content classification, best practices, content types, metadata, permissions, compliance and auditing.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT organization, with the proven ability to solicit business requirements, develop solution alternatives, and provide guidance and training

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

• Strong partnering, problem solving and issue resolution skills

• Proven ability to communicate succinctly and clearly in written and verbal communications

• Demonstrated collaborator; ability to work well with others throughout the organization

• Strong documentation and organizational skills, with close attention to detail

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritize effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft Flow or PowerApps is a plus

• 1-3 years of experience with exposure to management of Content Management Systems (CMS) and knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, etc.
