Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • You have significant prior success as a Software Engineer, building high-performance distributed systems.
  • You have solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms and excellent programming skills
  • You have strong understanding and experience with service-oriented and event-driven system architectures
  • You will drive, coach and guide a team of engineers, to establish high-level architecture and infrastructure standards, and build components that comprise our dealership platform. Your team will develop highly performant and scalable cloud services and applications.
  • You will take ownership of the overall product quality, working closely with QA teams
  • You will work with Product Management, UX Design, and Architecture teams, to identify, define, and prioritize future enhancements and understand our customers’ needs. 
  • You will lead career progression for team members, including hiring, evaluations, salary decisions, mentoring, coaching, and all duties normally associated with a hiring manager.

Qualifications

What We Look For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics or Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Established professional experience designing and building enterprise applications using C# or Java
  • Experience with web services, including RESTful services
  • Experience leading teams of 4 or more software engineers
  • Experience building software for the cloud is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment tools
  • Experience with Microservices or Service Oriented Architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of RDBMS and SQL fundamentals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.
