Position Description:
Position Purpose: The Manager(s) of Space Planning will be responsible to execute the creation and maintenance of all merchandising planograms, either using in house or third party resources. The Manager(s) will collaborate with the Merchants and Merchandising Services teams to plan and distribute the workloads weekly and monthly. This Manager(s) will be The Manager will play in active role in the on boarding, training and coaching of the Plano gram Technicians and Analysts. The Manager(s) will be accountable for on-going process efficiency enhancements. Bottom line accountability will be planogram integrity; measuring approved planograms to sku-store master data.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
35%-Selects, develops and directs a team of high performing Space Planning Analysts.
35% Plan and execute projects based on defined scope and timelines
35%-Manage the tactical processes, systems and organization responsible and accountable for creating and maintaining planogram integrity for each merchandising category in every THD store
20%-Identify and implement sustainable process improvements, organizational and systems enhancements that enable improved quality and efficiencies for space optimization and space planning
10%-Provide mentoring, management and leadership to direct reports for professional development and growth

Nature and Scope:
Position Reports to Director This Position has 6 direct reports

Environmental Job Requirements:
Located in a comfortable indoor area.
Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test. Must pass Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelors degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Work Experience Required: 5

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications: -
Proven work experience leading sustainable process and organizational improvements related to assortment planning and management, space optimization and space planning -
Proven experience with various types of retail assortment and space design application/systems/tools.
Proven work experience leading hourly and salaried associates focused on high demand, fast-paced activities Previous planogram experience in large SKU environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: 
Outstanding management and leadership skills with track record of developing and leading a highly motivated team of self starters
Strong Retail and Merchandising business and financial acumen; understands the meaning and implications of key financial indicators; uses analysis to create and evaluate strategic options and opportunities.
Outstanding ability with CAD space/drawing systems applications
