Position Description

You'll guide the development and support of Provider Networks as well as unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive consensus across all lines of business
  • Develop, lead and manage recommendations for performance based funding opportunities

  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them

  • Understand healthcare regulation and insure internal stakeholders are kept current on regulatory requirements

  • Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions

  • Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement

  • Forecast and plan financial and resource requirements

  • May lead functional or segment teams or projects

  • Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues

  • Motivate and inspire other team members

  • Negotiate hospital and physician agreements. 

In this role, you will need to be able to thrive in a demanding, intense, fast-paced environment. In addition, you'll be driving some complex negotiations while striving to ensure accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the health care industry
  • 5+ years of experience in a network management-related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results
  • Understanding of Medicare reimbursement methodologies such as Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS), DRGs, Ambulatory Surgery Center Groupers, etc.
  • Knowledge of value based reimbursement methodologies and Accountable Care Organizations
  • Familiarity with risk contracting and patient centered medical home philosophy
  • 2+ years of negotiation experience with provider and facility contracting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information form others, including but not limited to reimbursement policy standards
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others
