As a dynamic leader, you will be leading a highly vibrant and collaborative team of technology specialists. You will be driving Cisco technology architectures, helping our customers achieve their business outcomes through the use of technology, and be able to inspire the next generation of Systems Engineering talent at Cisco.  This SEM position will specifically lead a team of Security Systems Engineers and work in direct partnership with the Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO) on developing future GSSO SEs.

You will work with both the SE leadership teams within the Global Virtual Engineering and the Global Security Sales Organization on building a team of dedicated Security Specialists that will support Security pre sales needs from Cisco Global Virtual Sales teams. The SEM will drive business impact through technology and resource planning, proactively develop and maintain a team of high-performing Systems Engineers and continually seek innovative methods for improving team performance and development.  The SEM will be responsible for meeting regional and global goals by driving innovative technical programs and overseeing day-to-day pre-sales activities The SEM will have the responsibility of uncovering the prioritized needs of the GSSO team and execute delivering a pipeline of SE talent from GVE into the GSSO organization annually. The SEM will leverage use of Cisco technology to stay connected with virtual team members, customers, partners, stakeholders and peers around the world. This high visibility position will manage a team physically located in different cities around EMEAR and will have global responsibility and alignment as part of the Global Virtual Engineering leadership team within Cisco's Global Virtual Sales and Customer Success (GVS & CS) Organization.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

·       Extensive knowledge of Cisco Security products and competitive landscape

-       7 -10 years related technical sales industry experience

-       1-3 years management experience or equivalent

·       Passionate about the rapidly evolving world of Information Technologies, understand and follow the new technological trends and business models

·       A degree in physical sciences, engineering, economics or mathematics or equivalent experience

·       Bring energy and emotional intelligence and lead through motivating people

·       Can navigate between organizational levels breaking silos and finding opportunities to collaborate between groups.

·       People oriented, interested and skilled in growing talent & team, able to work with early in careers as well as experienced specialists

·       Understands the value of scripting, software and “everything-as-as-service”

·       Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and strong presentation skills

·       Strong problem solving skills: ability to assess a problem and figure out an effective course of action. Ready to take on calculated risks.

·       Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
