Global Project Manager

In the context of following, Project Management Group is seeking potential candidates for Project Manager for Oncology products in Managerial Position

The Project Manager (PM) serves as an operational leader for project teams who is responsible with the team leader for ensuring delivery of the team's plans. The PM's responsibilities encompass resource management, risk management, and asset-level planning through team and partner line interfaces. The PM needs to support planning, communication, and continuous improvements in the area of operational delivery. In this context, Portfolio & Project Management is seeking new members in Managerial Position.

**Main Roles and Responsibilities** ****

**(1) Establish matrixed development strategy**

Project Manager contributes to optimizing the value of development products at all stages of the projects from introducing new projects into Japan to post-marketing lifecycle management.

Leads cross-functional collaboration. Development strategies are established and executed on the aspect of non-clinical and clinical research, regulatory affairs, clinical studies operations, drug production and marketing based on the attribute of the development product. Although closely focused and considered points are changed in response to the development stage, it is essential that each project activities are aligned across functional lines to optimize the value of development products. Responsible for ensuring effective, accurate, and timely communication of project information, effectively communicating issues in order to facilitate team recommendations to governance.

**(2) Ensure development strategies and executions**

Drives Decision Point planning and the associated deliverables across all functions of the team and is involved in the strategic planning process for the project. Leads development planning activities encompassing overall strategy for the medicine and ensures alignment between the overall strategic, operational and line plans.

Organizes necessary internal meetings (Teleconference/Video/In-person meeting) and leads the discussion as well as participating in external meetings. (i.e. PMDA consulting, alliance partner)

Leads and participates in the discussions with JDT to establish risk management plans and mitigations.

Prepares project documents reporting to the progress /reviews, and provide reports to management as representative of JDT.

Serves as regular member of JDMT/JCMT, the upper-level organization hosted by DJ and BU, works closely with JDL/JCL and responsible for strategy planning and execution of the project to optimize the value of development products and launch products by participating in decision-making at working-level

**(3) Ensure DJ and BU collaboration**

Shares development and marketing activity timelines with DJ and BU consulting with BU-related department in order to reflect mutual strategies and plans as necessary.

**(4) Evaluate lifecycle management plan of new development and launch products and promote development. (Contribution to JPP)**

In collaboration with JDL/JCL and BU marketing section, leads value analysis of development products and lifecycle candidates.

Leads introduction of launch products into Japanese market by promoting local input of early-stage products to WRD with proper timing.

**(5) Collaboration with Global Project Management (GPM)**

Collaborates with the BU GPM organization to ensure that Japanese development projects established and executed by JDT are aligned to global development strategies on a constant basis.


**Qualifications and Skills**

+ Currently working at managerial position. Excellent leadership and collaboration skill

+ Strong track record of performance on cross-functional teams and results through effective implementation of project management tools and techniques.

+ Demonstrated success in negotiating in an environment of highly matrix-based organization.

+ Strategic and creative in mindset without stereotypes

+ Demonstrated experience in managing projects. (i.e. Coordinating and negotiating with relevant department, internal process management or project timeline management)

+ Knowledge and experience in drug development, medical, and/or commercial disciplines with proven performance in project delivery; previous experience working in Oncology strongly desired.

+ Knowledge of drug development process

+ Able to communicate in English (TOEIC 750 or equivalent)

+ Experience working on an alliance or co-development program strongly preferred.


5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry

Experience in any role(s) in the clinical development of Oncology area

3+ years of experience as a Project manger
