ROLE SUMMARY



Provides technical expertise and operational support across Drug Product (DP) Operations areas. The primary focus for this position is to develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to support the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) initiative. Partners with shop floor, maintenance and reliability colleagues as well as leadership to ensure smooth and efficient production of a diverse mix of pharmaceutical products. Assists in equipment reliability, process optimization, and troubleshooting activities to drive process improvements as needed. Responsibilities or influence will extend across all IMEx teams and the greater DP organization.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Will lead Operational Excellence initiatives (i.e. Kanban, M1 investigations, GB certification, etc.), develop OpEx skills of colleagues, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within Drug Product Operations.



+ Will partner with Process Centric Teams, including leadership, process engineers and process technicians, in support of the implementation of IMEx business processes.



+ The successful candidate will facilitate TPM workshops and implement the DP TPM program.



+ Specifically, this role will own and drive the TPM element. This includes developing processes to maintain equipment at baseline conditions, advancing the Operator Care program, developing efficient methods to establish process center lines, and coaching colleagues how to perform defect identification.



+ Leads technical improvement projects aimed at defect reduction, improved equipment reliability, and better equipment utilization.



+ Will align TPM initiatives across organizations, partnering closely with engineering, maintenance, quality, validation, environmental health and safety, and other enabling organizations.



+ Identifies and implements cost savings ideas, specifically line efficiency improvements and other projects that increase equipment reliability and capacity.







**QUALIFICATIONS**



BA/BS plus a minimum of 4 years experience or MBA/MS plus a minimum of 2 years experience in a science or engineering related field







Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience and strong, demonstrated technical skills exhibited in a cGMP environment are requirements. Specific knowledge of and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment is highly desirable.







This position is part of a career path that includes levels of opportunity - grade 07, 10, 12. Job title and salary grade are dependent on the successful candidate's qualifications. If a candidate is selected and their qualifications are more suited for a different level, the position will be reposted for five business days at the appropriate level.







**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting may be required.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



Occasional travel may be required for specific projects or training.







Aseptic gowning training is required. Job may also require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7 day operation.
