Description **ROLE SUMMARY**

Manufacturing Quality Supervisor supervises quality personnel and activities associated with production processes through manufacturing and packaging.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Supervises quality personnel and activities associated with production processes through manufacturing and packaging.

+ Utilizes Quality Engineering concepts to identify needed improvements in process and product quality.

+ Evaluates deviation and complaint data for undesirable trends. Writes reports and makes recommendations based on these evaluations.

+ Assures proper GMP compliance for the testing facilities, equipment and procedures.

+ Participates in the investigation and action taken for deviations. Manages timely completion of investigations to support production operations. Maintains QA databases for QA activities.



**QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Required: Bachelor's Degree

+ Requires good written and verbal communication skills, and competence in college level chemistry/mathematics. Requires tactful, persuasive and assertive human relations skills. Requires comprehensive knowledge of GMPs, applicable SOPs and production processes, and statistical/inspection practices.

+ Three to five years experience in pharmaceutical industry



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



+ PROBLEM SOLVING: Must provide direction to production when problems occur on line. Decisions on the effect on product, sterility issues and procedural issues are examples of situations which may be encountered.

+ ANALYTICAL ABILITY: Decisions on the effect on product, sterility issues and procedural issues are examples of situations which may be encountered.

+ AUTHORITY TO ACT: Indirectly responsible for the quality of the product that is produced in this facility. Decisions are made based on knowledge and experience, with input from the manager and/or QA Director as required.
