Description:
Prudential Retirement is looking for Marketing Analyst to join it’s Reporting and Analytics Team. This position plays a critical role in overseeing and supporting the advancement of data driven marketing efforts. This person will work to find insights within client behavior data and help build processes to automate data aggregation and processing to support use within business decision making.  The role requires a combination of superior problem solving, strategic thinking, business acumen, relationship management skills, and a passion for working through complex problems to offer actionable solutions. This position would be responsible for analyzing reports, providing insights, and developing testing strategies to drive profitability and growth.
 
This person would be expected to work to solve problems autonomously with simple direction from team management and work through projects with limited oversight. They are expected to have the experience that will allow them to make decisions about the best way to proceed with an analytic exercise given the business implications.  
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate campaign plans and results to internal and external audiences and secure executive and cross-functional approval and support.
  • Collects data to measure & analyze return-on-investment across several key marketing and business initiatives (e.g., Direct Mail, E-mail, etc).
  • Provide recommendations on analytical methodologies and frameworks to be utilized for various analytical projects
  • Work with Strategy team in the development of a testing agenda to optimize channels for maximum performance, leveraging iterative testing and data analysis.  Formulate testing strategies that drive KPIs including increased customer engagement, conversion, sales, profitability and life-time value.
  • Design and build automated reports and dashboards to drive awareness and familiarity of key metrics.  Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly dashboards. 
  • Communicate findings and recommendations across all levels of the organization.
  • Perform and manage all the end-to-end steps required for analyses including requirements gathering, methodology development, data pulling, data processing, analysis, insight formulation and results delivery
  • Work with cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of analytics projects & initiatives
  • Generate reports, documentation and scoring code as part of the analysis process.  Produce expected performance measures including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals and other statistical measures
  • Review, analyze and present qualitative and quantitative analysis and data to Marketing Senior Management and other business partners
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables that meet expectations while balancing business needs with the appropriate level of analytical rigor
  • Leverage story-telling skills to deliver insights that are clear, concise and actionable

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in math, statistics, finance or other quantitative focused area of study, M.B.A. preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact in a team environment with all levels of employees including senior management
  • Experience with Data visualization tools like Tableau or Microstrategy Visual Insights preferred
  • Knowledge of industry best practices with respect to marketing measurement, data-mining, experimental design and other statistical techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Strong project management skills; ability to work independently, and to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, research and communication skills
  • A working knowledge of SQL, SAS, BI and dashboard tool a plus
