Position Description:
Position Purpose:
Marketing Coordinator is responsible for day to day support to department marketing teams. Leads execution and follow up of all marketing campaigns. This role will source and facilitate assets/content/landing destinations/skus from merchant, vendor and cross-channel partners. Ensures accuracy of marketing campaign submissions, implementation and quality assurance. Helps monitor the competitive environment and notify marketing team of any competitive threats. The Marketing Coordinator will support their Direct Manager with campaign reporting and budget tracking.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • 40%-Develop reporting documents used for internal weekly updates. Track and record competitive activity by each Fiscal Week. Report out on marketing and competitive activity during internal status updates and merchant staff meetings. Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data. Supports marketing by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information; relaying customer services requests. Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • 30%-Work with merchants and MMM to understand product priorities and strategic initiatives for marketing. Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations.
  • 20%-Partner with MMM and cross channel functional teams to execute various base and vendor-funded marketing initiatives across paid, and owned and earned channels by providing creative direction and securing creative assets in accordance with production timelines. Seek necessary merchant approvals.
  • 10%-Work on special projects as directed.
Nature and Scope: This position reports to Manager or Senior Manager
This position has no Direct Reports

Environmental Job Requirements: 
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Work Experience Required: 3 Minimum

Physical Requirements:  Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a business related field preferred Previous advertising, marketing, media, social, or agency experience preferred SharePoint experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Marketing, advertising, media, social and/or agency experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated sense of urgency Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to communicate on all levels in the organization Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Curious learner Ability to pick-up and apply knowledge to daily responsibilities quickly Project management skills Deadline oriented Strong interpersonal skills
