Based in Houston, TX, the Marketing Data Analytics Manager will assist in the development of market strategies to support multiple products and drive membership, sales growth, and affordability.  This position is responsible for assisting to analyze market strategies to support products and drive membership growth as well as develops strategies and tactical plans to support consumer/member innovation, support new product and program launches. Lastly, the position will focus on analyzing economic considerations, develop marketing forecasts, estimate costs and manage program/project budgets.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develops short and long-term strategic directions for UnitedHealthcare to identify strategic needs, develop analytic plans, generate data, produce summary analyses, and communicate results and strategic insights
  • Prepare and present findings internally and potentially with external agents/providers
  • Ensures compliance with state and municipal laws, rules, and guidelines for marketing and outreach
  • Assists in directing outreach planning, which includes an analysis of competitive products and outreach techniques, consumer research, marketing legislation, outreach budget and goals
  • Work cross-functionally with external vendors, Operations, IT, Marketing and other departments to effectively deploy tactics within necessary timelines
  • Provide insight supporting continuous improvement of processes and analytical tools
  • Deliver results while also managing and prioritizing workload across multiple projects and timelines
  • Identifies and coordinates activities/services that promote retention and assist with market penetration and growth
  • Conduct health analytic analysis utilizing internal data and third party claims data to predict, classify, quantify, and evaluate the impact client facing programs
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of successful experience in marketing and/or sales
  • 3+ years of marketing, sales and/or community outreach management experience
  • 5+ years of Health care statistical and or data analysis or data science
  • Proven management skills, organizational planning, budgeting, goal setting and achievement measurement
  • Statistics and data analysis principles and study design concepts, including retrospective and prospective database analyses.
  • Writing SQL queries and performing complex statistical analysis and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis capabilities
  • Analytical thinking and positive problem resolutions
  • Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity towards target population
  • Good computer skills (software and Customer Relationship Management)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS/BA
  • Health insurance experience
  • Managed Care experience
