Job Description

The Brand Finance Analyst will play a critical role in performance management across the Brand Portfolio and $1 Billion Innovation Portfolio. As part of the broader Brand/Marketing Finance team, the Analyst will serve as the primary contact for all Brand and Innovation reporting and score carding. They will lead the period close process, liaise with Brand Finance Managers/Partnerships, help assess balance of year risk/ops profiles and have the opportunity to share findings. As portfolio managers, we are to identify synergies and best practices to share across the team. The Analyst will help with any senior leadership and ad-hoc requests (OpComm,ExComm, Marketing Leadership Team). In addition to performance management, the analyst will be responsible for managing CSD e-commerce innovations from a finance perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Innovation and Brand Build over PSP Horizon and alignment with cross functional partners/leadership

  • Period Close Responsibilities:

    • Create and manage periodic Innovation reporting deck which is distributed widely across the organization

    • Collaborate cross functionally (Marketing, Finance, Sales) to determine risk/ops profile for balance of year

    • Assessing balance of year forecast adjustments based on current trends

    • Present and report period close deck focused on Fewer Bigger Better, Waste, Big Bet/Key Innovations, Performance vs Plan and Balance of Year expectations

    • Rolling up actuals from Star2 and Horizon

    • Consolidating forecasts from Brand Finance Managers/Partnerships

  • Craft clear and concise message around Innovation and Brand Performance

  • Provide early read on volume performance to Marketing partners

  • Assist in periodic Brand forecasting submission to FP&A, and Brand P&L reporting

  • Responsible for Quarterly Reporting to FP&A: Board of Directors Letters, Investor Relations Reporting, Innovation Template Submissions

  • Own and manage CSD e-commerce innovation cost spines, attend cross functional meetings, and represent finance at Stage Gate Governance Meetings


  • Bachelors Degree required Finance preferred
  • 3+ years of finance analyst experience
  • Driven, motivated and takes initiative
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions and processes
  • Results-oriented with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues of various levels in the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, manage workload, and prioritize particularly with ad-hoc/senior asks
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint with ability to learn in-house software applications (Star2, Horizon, IRI)
