Job Description

Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital is an 80 bed hospital offering mental health services to the adult, adolescent, and senior population. PCBH is a member of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) and offers a comprehensive benefits package, and is one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare management companies. Founded in 1978, UHS subsidiaries now have more than 70,000 employees. The incumbent will assist the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing a strategic plan to promote services offered at Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital to all potential referral sources. The successful candidate will visit clinics, doctor's offices, hospitals, therapist offices, community organizations, etc. to inform and direct individuals to the services available at PCBH. · The incumbent will coordinate efforts with the Admissions Department concerning patient updates and necessary follow up with referral sources. The successful candidate must work effectively with Hospital Department Heads in the development, education, and implementation of the Hospital’s Strategic Marketing Plans.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical/marketing, sales or contract services in the mental health field strongly preferred. Work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree considered.

Knowledge and Skills: •Knowledge of behavioral health field, including familiarity with services provided to mental health,Working knowledge of DSM methodology •Working knowledge with using electronic systems to develop and maintain referral source data bases •Effective oral and written communication skills •Effective Educational, Group Leadership and Public Speaking skills •Skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to programs and services •Organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management and team building skills •Basic fiscal management skills •Flexibility, creativity, and able to handle pressure
