Prudential is seeking an experienced sales and marketing professional to lead new and high impact customer engagement initiatives.  This new role will be integral in standing up a new customer engagement & experience in the Customer Office marketing team that serves as liaison to Prudential’s new direct-to-consumer financial advisory service.  This service provides financial planning expertise, as well as investment, life insurance and annuity solutions to our customers. 


This role will be liaison between the home office marketing team to better inform and optimize the customer experience delivered by the phone-based advisor sales operations.

 Job Responsibilities:




  • Day-to-day lead connecting Prudential’s holistic marketing strategies to our direct-to-consumer sales operations


  • In conjunction with the sales team leads and site manager, own real time input from the sales team to help optimize the marketing strategies on an on-going basis


  • Create and manage sales & marketing campaigns inclusive of timelines, marketing deliverables, and execution


  • Point of contact in the development of any sales collateral and advisor materials to help them convert sales leads


  • Support the Director of Digital Product Marketing in the development and execution of wider omni-channel marketing campaigns


  • Effectively coordinate with other departments to support and implement initiatives


  • Problem solving and ideation for the various products Prudential offers


  • Define objectives, write creative briefs required to create all marketing deliverables


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategy and execute accurate and effective campaigns.


  • Continuous optimization of performance through sales feedback loops and analytic dashboard analysis









  • Minimum of 7 years similar experience required
    • CFP or other financial planning certifications a plus
  • Financial planning, retirement planning, investments and/or wealth management experience a plus
  • Prior experience with marketing campaign development (initiatives leveraging social media, sales collateral, content marketing, and financial education) and marketing to sales customer journey implementation  
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to effectively work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Extremely detail oriented with teamwork skills and the ability to work across functional teams and all levels of the organization
  • Strong interest in marketing and customer engagement
  • Top notch written and oral communication skills while in presence of executive leadership; expert in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • General awareness of marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Experience with design-thinking, agile development or other innovation processes a plus
  • Collaborative mindset that inspires those around them (peers and those more senior) to be creative and try new things

Job Location/Travel

The position can be located in Newark, NJ or Plymouth, MN. The person in this role will travel approx. once a month to meet in person with remote sales team.
