**Job summary**

As Pfizer oncology continues to expand globally, we are now seeking a Medical advisor Oncology/Hematology in Sweden to support our growing hematology portfolio. The ideal candidate holds a MD or a medical scientific degree with PhD, has documented experience from medical affairs, preferentially in oncology or hematology, and acts proactively with a scientific mindset and strong communication and collaboration skills for the best of cancer patients.

**Job purpose**

+ To be responsible to develop strategic partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders during the entire lifecycle of the Pfizer hematology portfolio

+ To provide focused relevant information in response to customer-stated needs in order to maintain a therapeutic leadership position and drive business needs at the national, regional, and corporate level

+ To mainly act on a national level but also be a key member of the Nordic region and the region of Mid-Size Markets Western Europe

+ To work in a cross-functional, national and international team to maximize the value of Pfizer hematology portfolio in-country and at regional level

+ To act according to the high standards of compliance, ethics, and safety of Pfizer products

+ In this role, the Medical Advisor Oncology/Hematology will report directly into the Medical Director Sweden and Nordic region

**Primary responsibilities**

+ Medical expertise and customer insights

+ The Medical Advisor (MA) acts as a bridge between research and commercial functions

+ Interacts with and develops enduring relationships with key opinion leaders on national and regional level according to Pfizer franchise

+ Spearheads the generation and dissemination of unbiased clinical and scientific information

+ Provides scientific / medical expertise to a therapeutic area or to a given product

+ Dissemination of recent scientific knowledge/data on Oncology portfolio in approved indications

+ Communication of recent scientific knowledge/data on Oncology portfolio in off-label indications and on Oncology products in development upon request

+ Works and collaborates with medical societies relevant to Oncology

+ Initiates and runs advisory boards, expert and scientific meetings on local and regional level

+ Delivers quality scientific presentations at internal and external meetings and provides medical/ scientific support and training for internal staff or vendors

+ Supports local approval of scientific material produced in country e. g local marketing material

+ Takes a leadership role in the national reimbursement submission process

+ Collaborates with the Health and Value and Outcomes Research Department and works with Medical Information on customer enquiries concerning drug safety issues for Pfizer Oncology products

+ Contribution to franchise strategy and tactical plan

+ Medical input into assigned brand cross functional team and where necessary into local customer based marketing initiatives

+ Develop a medical strategy- and tactical plan on national and regional (cluster) level

+ Works close with medical cluster colleagues on cluster activities and projects

+ Support of early- and clinical development

+ Communicates customer feedback on product development and life-cycle strategies

+ Leads scientific exchange with KOLs and cooperative groups

+ Works closely with Early- and Clinical Research teams to maximize Pfizer research opportunities on national and regional level

+ Follows up and works close with customer and regional teams on non-Pfizer sponsored research projects

+ Solicits feedback on clinical trial programs and protocols (feasibility) from potential investigators for Oncology portfolio

+ Identifies local data gaps, gives study planning input, helps in the site selection and feasibility assessment


As an ideal Medical Advisor Oncology/Hematology, you have:

+ A MD, preferentially in oncology or hematology, or a higher level science degree (biomedical, pharmacist). A PhD and/or a background within the therapeutic area is a clear preference.

+ An in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic area and market context where previous experience from medical affairs will be of particular interest

+ A good understanding of:

+ The process of drug development

+ Clinical research as well as the ability to critically evaluate clinical studies and publications

+ The national and regional health environment including its structure, policy, key members and scientific societies

Furthermore, you are:

+ fluent in Swedish and business English

+ An engaged and motivated person, willing to improve the outcome of cancer patients.
